Our Mission
Covers For Recovery is a special charity that provides kids and teens in recovery gently used and new books to support their emotional wellbeing during their time of need. Let’s make a difference together. Your support means the world to us.
Olivia Wilson, Founder
Olivia Wilson is 17 years old and a junior at the Marymount School of NY. During Olivia’s younger years she was in and out of hospitals for various ailments. Each time she craved books to read but couldn’t find any unless family members brought them to her. She founded Covers For Recovery in 2023 after recognizing a need for books in children’s hospital wards, to support young patients emotional and wellbeing recovery during their time of need.
Olivia enjoys advocacy and hopes to study law one day. She is a national grand prize winner of the 2024 WIT/Saputo Foods Build a Brighter Future teen entrepreneur competition. And, as a younger student, Olivia was the recipient of the Packer Model Congress Commendation Recognition in 2022 and the NY Society Library’s Young Writers Award in 2018. She currently resides in NYC with her parents and pet dog, Lola.
